We were honoured when approached by the Tyne Theatre & Opera House to undertake the reconstruction of their website. The previous website was underperforming: it was slow, lacked a smooth flow, and had no SEO optimisation.
Our mission was to address these issues, create an attractive new design, enhance the user experience, and introduce new features, including a shop and a historical performance calendar. This calendar was generated from a database containing records of all theatre performances dating from 1867 to 1919.
Throughout the project, we collaborated closely with four members of the theatre staff. They provided all the content and contributed to the design of the ticket sales flow in the “What’s On!” section, as well as the fundraising aspects of the website.
Being a charity, the theatre depends on the support of its patrons and theatre enthusiasts. Given the theatre’s well-established and highly reputable status, it was imperative to ensure a successful outcome. In the end, the website rebuild was a success, and we maintain a close working relationship with the Tyne Theatre & Opera House.
